Dr. Montgomery Rice and other faculty and staff are not strangers to traveling cross-country to share the vision for MSM and 21st century health care. Following her inauguration as MSM’s first female president in 2014, she visited several cities with the goal of raising scholarship funds for gifted and academically diverse students who might be excluded from attending medical school due to the financial burden.

In a broader message, Dr. Montgomery Rice will champion MSM’s new vision of “leading the creation and advancement of healthy equity” with focused discussions concerning a critical issue – the immediate need to close the gaps of health disparities and provide healthy outcomes for underserved populations and socioeconomically disadvantaged communities.
